Tallest buildings don't translate into the best. Vancouver has height restrictions due to the gorgeous views being protected, and is one of the best skylines in the World, with way more towers.

My wife & I have friends in & around JAX & St. Augustine. It was a dream of ours to retire in the area…not anymore. Explosive, uncontrolled growth & hyper-inflated housing prices have us looking north in the Brunswick/St. Simons area. That being said, we will always love JAX, but working in Downtown Atlanta for nearly a quarter century has made me looking for a much slower paced lifestyle in a less densely populated area

I've thought of moving there. Yet I have a feeling the cost of living is getting too high out that way.

One comment is that for Salt Lake really the CSA is much, much better for population metrics than the Metro (MSA) alone. There are cities ten minutes away that are not part of the Metro but very much part of the overall population like Bountiful. So the CSA really gives the scope and explains how we can support multiple sports teams, etc.

My favourite city in the US. Beautifully laid out and some stunning architecture. Great vibe, and so much to do in the mountains.

If you live inside the Watterson Expressway belt which is the original city, it’s mostly pronounced Lou-ee-ville after King Louis XVI. Lou-uh-vuhl sounds like you got a dick in your mouth. All the country bumpkins from the suburbs bastardized its pronunciation. I used to be a victim of it myself but came around to it after a while and I am a lifelong resident from the Highlands.
